WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

To apply for the Ag Partners/Alceco FFA 2012 Scholarship Program a student must be:
  • high school senior
  • an active member of their school’s FFA Chapter
  • plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the fall of the next academic year.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT & COVERAGE

One non-renewable $500 scholarship may be awarded to one student in each FFA chapter within the following schools, with two overall winners receiving a $1,000 scholarship. These awards are not based on financial need, but on the successful participation of the student’s FFA Chapter.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications can be picked up at any Ag Partners location, from the school guidance counselor, or accessed using the link below. All applications must be accompanied with a typed FFA Points Sheet (use link below to access template). All applications must be mailed and postmarked by Wednesday,February 29, 2012 or delivered to an Ag Partners’ location by Thursday, March 1, 2012. Applications can be mailed to:

SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS

Each FFA Advisor will submit their top candidate based on the point system set forth by the Ag Partners/Alceco Scholarship Team. The overall award winner will be determined by total points based on the career of the FFA participant. In case of a tie, determination of overall award winner is based first on Leadership within the FFA organization and then community involvement.

SCHOLARSHIP CONDITIONS
Upon being awarded a scholarship, a recipient must:
  • Enroll as a full-time student in the fall of the year in which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Prior to payment, Ag Partners must be provided with an official class schedule that shows the recipient is a full-time student who has completed their first semester and enrolled in the second semester.
SCHOLARSHIP CONDITIONS
  • All scholarships are provided as cash awards in the form of a check issued following the first semester.
  • The checks are made payable to the student upon the successful completion of the first semester and proof of enrollment for the second semester.
