AG PARTNERS NEWS FOR CAREER SEEKERS
Internships Led to Full-time Jobs for These Recent Grads
Jen DeJong

The way Jen DeJong heard it, “An Ag Partners internship would be a good learning experience and fun at the same time. There would be great people to work with, too.”
“I found all that to be true,” says the 2009 South Dakota State University (SDSU) agronomy grad that completed her internship and accepted a full-time position with Ag Partners. She appreciated the way the internship allowed her to actually do agronomy and she’s pleased she found a good job close to home. The Spencer, IA native wanted to come back to this area.
Jay Magnussen

Jen DeJong told him about her positive experience as an Ag Partners intern. So Jay Magnussen decided he should look for the recruiter from Albert City when he visited the SDSU career fair.
“Jen described all the opportunities and said you could choose what you’d like to learn to do,” Jay explains. “And she was right. The internship offered me lots of options.”
After his summer internship and another semester of classes, Jay returned to Ag Partners as an InSite
® precision ag technician. Jay is working with ag tech Brett Peelen who teases the Calumet native saying, “Yeah, he’s coming right along.”
