Use Caution When Harvesting Flooded Grain

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship again reminds farmers that grain impacted by river flooding may be considered adulterated by the Food and Drug Administration. Grain that has been determined to be adulterated cannot be used for feed or food.

At 11 a.m. today, the USDA released their latest WASDE (world agricultural supply and demand estimates). While the U.S. production numbers were generally in line with the analysts’ average estimates, the ending stocks information was slightly lower than expected.
