Internship Program

Ag Partners actively recruits area college students to participate in our internship program throughout the year. Our interns gain real-life work experiences that build upon lessons learned in the classroom. Our philosophy is to engage our students in partnerships with our best salespeople, managers, and production supervisors to ensure they experience the full scope of our company.
Each intern is given opportunities to explore areas of personal interest in addition to the job that they are assigned. We pride ourselves in creating a win-win situation that makes this experience beneficial not only for the company but also for the students because internships often lead to full-time employment.
Every year we hire agronomy interns and a precision-ag interns. Talk with our recruiter, Elissa, on campus at the South Dakota State University and Iowa State University career fairs, and many more.

Meet our 2019 Summer Interns!

Josh Van Roekel

Hello all! My name is Josh Van Roekel. I have grown up my entire life in Sioux Center and hope to stay in the area for the rest of my life.

Growing up, my dad worked and still currently works for a farmer east of Sioux Center. This is where I got my agricultural background and why I love Ag so much.  Only a couple of weeks ago I finished my junior year at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. At Iowa State I am currently studying Agronomy.

This year at Ag Partners I am really hoping to get more customer interaction because I do not have much expertise in that field. I am also hoping to refresh my memory on all the different types of weeds and deficiencies that are present around Iowa. I look forward to my time at Ag Partners and know that it will be a once in a life time internship with them!

Josh will be working as a Sales Agronomist intern with Ag Partners this summer, based out of our Sheldon, Hartley, and Calumet marketplaces.

Drake Granstra

Hello, my name is Drake Granstra. I am from Sheldon, Iowa, born and raised. My parents are Dolan and Cherish Granstra.

I have grown up on the family farm where we raise feeder cattle, and grow corn and soybeans. I am currently a student at South Dakota State University. I am studying Ag Systems Technology.

I have always had an interest in the technology used in agriculture to help us improve our practices. Technology is also the future. It can help us improve our yields while lowering our costs. I hope to learn how to use and take advantage of such tools in order to help other producers improve and become more economically efficient.
Drake is learning more about Precision Ag at our Calumet and Hartley locations.

More information coming soon on Nate Benson.
Nate is working with our Sales Agronomist at our Emmetsburg location.

Welcome Josh, Nate & Drake!  We're excited to have you join us this summer!
